Studies at the University of Arts

Studies at the University of Arts, are carried out in a full time system, in three successive cycles offering bachelor degree levels, Master in Arts and Master of Science or Professional, and PhD.

First cycle program (bachelor) aims to provide basic knowledge about methods and artistic and scientific principles in various specialties. This cycle must contain not less than 180 credits and the normal duration is three years.

Second cycle program (Master of Arts and Master of Science) aims to provide deep knowledge on the methods and principles of art and science, as well as independent education in artistic and scientific research. This cycle must contain not less than 120 credits and the normal duration is two years.

Professional Master degree contains no less than 60 credits and the normal duration is one year. To follow a Master degree is needed a university degree.

Their organization is based on the Decisions of the Council of Ministers (DCM) and the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Sports.

University of Arts in specific specialties which are provided in the faculty regulations, offers integrated curriculum of first and second cycle of studies, that are carried out with at least 300 credits and the normal duration of which is not less than five years.
